Dublin Airport flights: Aer Lingus to resume Christmas route to San Francisco

Aer Lingus has confirmed the return of their direct service from Dublin Airport to San Francisco that will resume from the middle of December.

These flights will run four times per week from December 12 until January 12, 2022, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

In the week before and after Christmas, another two flights will operate from December 16 – December 18 and December 30 – January 1.

The resumption of the San Francisco route sees a total of 7 North American destinations from Dublin Airport after flights to Newark, Orlando, Washington and Toronto resumed in the past couple of weeks.

It has been confirmed today that the US will lift Covid-19 travel restrictions on those entering the country who are fully vaccinated, from November 8.

"San Francisco is the global tech centre of the world and many of the companies based there have offices in Ireland. This direct route will further grow tourism and trade between Ireland and the US and provide greater choice and flexibility for both business and leisure passengers," said Dublin Airport Managing Director Vincent Harrison.

"We will work closely with Aer Lingus to ensure this service is a success in both directions."
