People were left confused after a plan took-off from Dublin Airport with no destination last night.
The mysterious aircraft was spotted circling the skies of the capital after it set-off at around 7pm.
But confusion began when the plane, which had flight information on FlightRadar24, had 'N/A' listed under destination.
One eagle-eyed plane watcher quizzed Dublin Airport on the flight, asking "what is this plane actually doing?"
The strange service was in flight for well over six hours too, with various others reporting on its path.
One person suggested: "Hey this is an air survey to keep all our maps and stuff up to date, noting to worry about. Or it could be a guy out enjoying some air miles."
Another said: "Looks like a private plane just having the craic and lapping the place."
While a third added: "The clue is in the screenshot you posted - 'Flight Calibration Services'."
And hats off to the people behind the Dublin Airport account.
They were quick to respond to ease the minds of those taking to the skies for a look, starting off with a joke in their true Twitter fashion.
They said: "Pretty sure it’s flying. (Sorry, that’s not the reply you were looking for.)
"It’s testing the instrument landing systems for the airport."
They added: "These systems are in place to offer guidance to landing aircraft. They’re tested for safety reasons."
