Dublin Airport down over 250,000 flights since start of pandemic

Dublin Airport has lost over 250,000 flights since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Currently around 228 flights arrive and leave the airport on average each day which is 69% down on the 2019 numbers.

It is slightly higher than 2020 levels since March 2021, figures from Eurocontrol found.

There has been a slight decrease in the number of flights leaving and arriving last week compared to the week before.

Ryanair has around 100 daily flights on average which is down 61% compared to 2019 but is still the busiest airline at Dublin Airport.

It is followed by Aer Lingus at 38 flights a day and parcel company DHL Express.
