Dublin Airport condemn 'heinous crime' after man 'outraged' over omission from full Irish breakfast

A man travelling through Dublin Airport was left speechless after a key item was left out of his full Irish breakfast.

The Irishman was "outraged" after being served the meal in Terminal 2 recently.

Marty Meany took to Twitter to share his dismay that his "ultimate fry" did not include black pudding, writing that there are "still no words" to describe his disappointment.

He said: "I’ve not tweeted my outrage at this because I’ve been cooling down over it. The 'ultimate fry' in T2 @DublinAirport doesn’t have black pudding.

"But did have beans and tomato. Sorry, out after sausage and egg it’s pudding number three, before rasher. There are still no words."

He added: "None. Zero. No. Pudding. Of. Any. Kind."

Dublin Airport were quick to respond to the disgruntled passenger, joking that amends must be made for the "heinous crime".

"Marty, please email customerexperience@dublinairport.com with the full details of this heinous crime & we’ll pass on the details to the outlet in question," a spokesperson said.

"In the meantime, sending you thoughts & prayers. (PS The easiest way to start a fight here is to ask what’s in a fry?)"

They also provided a useful illustration depicting the components of an Irish, British and Ulster fry in order to help the big breakfast debate.

Marty later listed what he felt were the key ingredients for the perfect fry-up breakfast.

He said: "Fryorities:

"1. Sausages

"2. Fried eggs (plural)

"3. Pudding (black and white preferred)

"4. Mammys Brown bread (or toast)

"5. Rashers

"6. Mushrooms (optional)

"7. Beans (optional)

"8. Fried tomato (optional)."

The interaction on Christmas sparked a big debate about what constitutes the perfect Irish breakfast, with dozens of people sharing their preferences on Twitter.
