Thousands of staff at Dublin Airport are to have their rosters reviewed to cope with a huge rise in passenger numbers.
The Dublin Airport Authority (daa) is looking to make the workplace more engaged as it continues to get busier at the gates.
A daa spokesman said: "We have gone out to the market to get some external help as we seek to determine whether our current rosters – some of which have been in place for a long time – are fit for purpose.
"We want to enhance overall workforce engagement in the business while continuing to meet the needs of our customers and also balance that with differing preferences of staff."

Of the airport's 3,000 staff, 75% do shift work on a 24 hour basis everyday of the year.
The review should determine a solution for 24/7 operations which are to allow for balance between staff flexibility and personal preferences.

He also said that the third party will plan for ways for the roster to meet both staff and business needs as the airport continues to grow.
The new rota aims to work around specific business areas that will be substantially improved.
