Copper Face Jacks The Musical star Michele McGrath has told how getting botox has helped her confidence and she revealed she’s back on the dating scene.
The actress, who currently presents a fashion slot on Ireland Am and guest presents on Xpose on Virgin Media One, said the anti-wrinkle injection will have worn off when she graces the stage in July.
Michele, 33, told the Irish Mirror: “I have Botox, I’ve only had it done twice, it was something I was really interested in getting done but I don’t like needles.
“With acting this will have worn off by the time I get on stage for Coppers The Musical because I need to have expression but for TV presenting it makes me feel more confident.”
“The more research I did into it, the more I relaxed and my doctor Orla Grimes in the Beacon Face and Dermatology put me at ease and I learnt about what I was doing.
“I get baby Botox, for me it was something I could constantly see, we all hone in on our own flaws and someone on the outside world wouldn’t see.
“I had quite a deep frown line so I’ve no problem talking about it.”
The beauty admitted she is back dating but is still on good terms with her ex-boyfriend, retired MMA fighter Cathal Pendred.
She said: “Yes we are still good friends and I’m dating now and that’s it, we’ll see how it goes, I’m really happy.”
Admitting that turning 30 was daunting she added: “When I hit 30, I came out of a long-term relationship, didn’t have children, but it was the most liberating time in my life.
“I’ve really focused in those few years on what really makes me happy, my career, my happiness.
“I feel now what will be will be.”
The Dublin stunner stars as Gretchen in the smash hit musical returning to the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on July 10th.
Commenting on the news that Copper Face Jacks nightclub has been sold she said: “Coppers has just been sold and it is an institution and it always will be, I rarely go out I’m a bit of a granny.
“I never intend to go there but I always end up there, dancing to the Spice Girls.
“I love that they play the National Anthem at the end of the night.”
