Dublin 8 beer and food festival returning for delicious flavours and great craic

The Happy Days Beer and Food Festival is coming back to Rascals Brewery in Inchicore this April, promising a delightfully delicious two-day experience for Dublin food and drink lovers.

Taking place on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, Happy Days will bring together diverse food vendors and a huge array of different beers, all taking up residence in multiple areas in and around the brewery.

In the Rascals HQ main venue and restaurant, there will be barrels and stools and guests will be able to enjoy pizza, bar service and DJ sets.

There will also be the Rascals Beer Garden and The Avenue, a private enclosed lane way running parallel to Rascals where you will find food trucks and some seating.

Meanwhile, there will also be Brewer's Lane, a small area at the back of the brewery where there is more seating. Plus there is The Yard, a brand new area next to the brewery which will house all the guest breweries and DJs.

In terms of food, ticket holders can expect to enjoy delicious fare from the likes of BeatBox, El Milagro, Aventura Cafe and Cool Boi.

Brewers who will be there to sample their delicious beers include Galway Bay, Wicklow Wolf, DOT Brew, O Brother, Ballykilcavan and Black's of Kinsale.

Speaking about the upcoming food and beer festival, Rascals Brewery Marketing Manager Joe Donnelly told Dublin Live: "We had this festival in September 2019 which was the vert first one. Obviously we were't able to do it again in 2020 or in 2021.

"We really wanted to do it again and do it bigger. It was a one day event in 2019."

Joe revealed that the reaction so far has been "absolutely terrific".

He explained: "There's a real strong scene around beer and food in Ireland. Irish breweries are still doing really well in spite of the pandemic.

"It's all about he quality and supporting local producers."

He added: "We have a lot of experience going to these kinds of festivals ourselves and Rascals is the ideal venue. This time around, we have the new yard so we've increased our capacity."

Tickets for Happy Days Beer and Food Festival at Rascals are available to purchase now through Eventbrite.

Tickets cost €20 plus booking fee for each day.
