Dublin 15 community wakes up to disgusting racist graffiti spray painted on walls through estate

A west Dublin community woke to disgusting racist graffiti throughout their area on Thursday morning.

Residents living in the Blakestown and Mountview areas of Dublin 15 were greeted by the horrible spray paint as they opened their curtains.

It follows a number of right wing protests throughout Dublin in recent weeks, that have been met with disdain from locals.

The disgusting spray paint said: "Don't send your kids back to school until you read the RSE/Sex Ed supported by SF, FG, FF, PBP etc."

As well as: "Ireland for the Irish!!"

And: "Ireland belongs to the Irish. No other truth."

The images were shared by local Sinn Fein activist Luke Stynes, who called the act "absolutely repulsive behaviour totally rejected by our community and the people who live here".

And the community unity against the act continued, with one person adding: "It was painted over with in 3 hours of going up, we don't tolerate this crap.

Dublin City councillor Daithi Doolan called on the community to challenge those who carried out the careless and discriminatory vandalism.

He said: "These bigots offer nothing to our communities. They prey on people's fears and use that fear to fuel racism & xenephobia. They must be challenged on line, in our communities, on the street and at the ballot box."

Yesterday, protesters led by conspiracy theorist Gemma O'Doherty were left red-faced when pranksters TPM upstaged their beach protest.

They started a hilarious counter protest where they claimed to be a group called Dundalk Against Change, shouting 'Bring Back Dial-Up Internet'.

The lads’ donned tinfoil hats for the satirical Stand on the Strand, in which they basically parodied Gemma and drowned her protesters out with a loudspeaker while shouting, “The internet is too fast today”.
