Dua Lipa Fan Calls Cops After Nicki Minaj Fan Takes Flight To Confront Him Over Online Debate

Nicki Minaj and Dua Lipa fans have been entangled in a heated argument on social media that escalated when a “Barbz” went as far as traveling to confront a Dua admirer in person, prompting police involvement.

A fan of Dua was forced to call law enforcement after starting to fear for his safety when a Nicki supporter showed up at their home.

Corales reportedly flew from his home in Los Angeles, California, to Phoenix, Arizona, where Kenzo resides, to confront him.

The traveling groupie was able to do this after Kenzo posted his address online and made a video telling “stan Twitter” to come to his house, Unilad reported.

Stan Twitter” refers to a subsection of X users (formerly known as Twitter) who are avid fans of particular celebrities. Moreover, the word “stan” arguably derives from Eminem’s song “Stan,” which refers to an overly obsessive fan.

When Corales reportedly arrived outside Kenzo’s home, he went on to post a series of videos.

“Cardi tanked. Nicki Minaj is the queen of rap. F**k Dua Lipa,” he said in one clip that has been shared on X, as per Unilad.

Kenzo went on to confront his harasser, igniting an in-person argument, with Kenzo making it clear he felt uncomfortable.

The Dua fan said: “You’ve been encouraging others on social media to attack my family over Stan Twitter drama just because I said I don’t like Nicki Minaj.”

Police were eventually called to the scene, with Corales still not taking the situation seriously, as per Unilad.

In a video posted later, Corales asked an officer if they wanted to say hi to his fans, which the cop declined.

Corales is reportedly not believed to have been arrested, as he later updated fans with another video in what looked to be a hotel room, Unilad reported.

On social media, both individuals have been criticized for their actions, with Kenzo being ridiculed for posting his address online and inviting people to come to his home, and Corales for traveling all the way to Arizona just to confront Kenzo.

Stan culture has previously been exposed for nesting toxic behaviors. An article published by Vice last month stated that while such worship could be a harmless hobby, other times, it could be dangerous.

The article went on to highlight an incident where a woman was driven off Instagram by the Beyhive (stans for Beyoncé) when footage of her leaning over Beyoncé to speak to Jay-Z at a basketball game went viral.

An example of such adverse effects of the subculture occurred in 2010 when Justin Bieber blew up.

Bieber’s iconic hairstyle sparked an identity crisis for many megafans who cherished Justin’s boyish looks, so much so that they went through various methods to look like him, Vice reported.

This was exemplified by Toby Sheldon, a German man who, at 33, spent $100,000 on surgery to look like the pop star.

“They both need therapy,” a reader commented
