DT Tyson Alualu agrees to terms on 2-year contract with Jacksonville Jaguars

According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the Pittsburgh Steelers will not be retaining defensive tackle Tyson Alualu. According to Pelissero, Alualu is returning to Jacksonville and has agreed to terms on a two-year, $6-million contract.

Alualu was one of the real bright spots on the defense last season. Alualu started 10 games and was strong as a run defender.

Pittsburgh originally signed Alualu back in 2017 away from the Jaguars. Now Alualu returns to the team that drafted him in the first round back in 2010.

With Alualu headed elsewhere, the Steelers have to sort out who will be their starting nose tackle. Isaiah Buggs played some last season and was ok but this could be a position Pittsburgh targets in the upcoming NFL draft.
