Drygate Brewery encouraging Glaswegians to swap presents for 'presence' this Christmas

Drygate Brewery in Glasgow's east end is encouraging people in the city to swap traditional presents for 'presence' this Christmas and stave off feelings of loneliness and isolation over the festive period.

To do so, they've launched a 'Christmas Presence' offer which, for £10, gets you two vouchers for two beers (and some bar snacks) at the popular microbrewery, beer hall and restaurant for yourself and a companion of your choice.

With the proviso that the vouchers can only be used when both of you arrive together and present them at the bar.

Doing so, they hope, will help encourage folk to spend some quality time with each other over the festive period at a time of year - one where one and six people feel lonelier than at other times of year according to research from leading mental health charity Mind.

All profit raised by the purchase of Drygate Christmas Presence will be donated to SAMH (the Scottish Association for Mental Health).
