A group of people vandalised a popular church in Southport last night.
The group are believed to have vandalised a gravestone at St Cuthbert's Church on Botanic Road in Churchtown, Southport at around 9.30pm on Tuesday September 14.
Smashed bottles, litter and damage to the pub next door, the Hesketh Arms, were also found.

It's believed that the people responsible were drinking outside the church, and enquiries are ongoing.
Community Policing Inspector Graham Fisher said: "To treat the grounds of a place of worship in such a disgusting and disrespectful way is just beyond belief, so we're keen to speak to anyone who saw people in the grounds, or nearby at some time on Monday night.
"Your CCTV, dashcam or other information could be vital in tracking down those people who think it is acceptable to damage a gravestone and leave litter and hazardous broken glass, as well as damaging property owned by a local business trying to get back to some semblance of normality."
