Drunken group's homophobic abuse forced person off train between Edinburgh and West Lothian

A drunken group subjected passengers to homophobic and "sexually aggressive" abuse on-board a ScotRail train between Edinburgh and West Lothian.

Transport police want anyone who witnessed the incident, on Sunday 16 June, to come forward.

Officers say that a group of four drunk men and a woman made offensive comments while on-board the 4.09pm service between Waverley and Armadale.

Police say that the group were of Polish nationality.

One of the witnesses on-board the service was so intimidated that they got off at one of the stations along the route and waited for the next train.

And transport officers want to hear from anyone else who was on-board the train and witnessed what happened .
