We’ve all been there – you’re on a night out, you’ve had a few too many to drink, and you’ve misplaced your bag.
It’s a problem many of us have faced, but one woman couldn’t believe what had happened when she woke up the next morning to find her clutch bag was missing.
The woman still had the bag when she got a lift home from her friend’s mum, but instead of picking it up to take it with her, she accidentally swapped it for something else – the car’s logbook.
It was her sister Rebekka who shared the drunken blunder with the world on Twitter, as she posted a picture of the grey leather Nissan pouch which houses the important car documents.

She wrote alongside the image: “My sister got so drunk last night, she got a lift home with a friends mum and she thought she picked up her clutch bag but instead she’s taken the car logbook.”
The tweet has gone viral, amassing over 52,000 likes and 2,000 retweets.
And it was also reposted on Instagram, where it has been even more of a viral hit, racking up 177,000 likes and leaving people in stitches.
One person commented: “That’s brilliant! My sister once took home a hanging basket and left her bag outside the pub.”
While another wrote: “Made me laugh uncontrollably! She’s a legend.”
And a third said: “This is undoubtedly one of the funniest things I’ve seen.”
Other commenters also shared their own drunken stories which were similar to the clutch bag blunder.
Someone wrote: “This reminds me of the time I was so drunk, I dropped my wallet in a kebab shop and picked up a piece of donna meat in its place. I only notice when trying to pay for the taxi and the driver was unimpressed. Ended up having to give him the keys to my car as payment.”
While a second person posted: “My friend was so off her face on God knows what, she went home and realised she’d lost her handbag. She went all the way back for the security guard to tell her it was over her shoulder.”
