Kylie Rae Harris was drunk when she fatally sped into teenager in 100mph crash

Kylie Rae Harris was boozed up and speeding over 100MPH in fatal car crash killing her and a teenager, according to police.

The singer died aged 30 when her car smashed into another vehicle's rear in a three-car collision on a New Mexico highway in September, according to a new investigation.

A 16-year-old girl was also killed when Kylie's car ploughed at 95MPH head-on into another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, police said.

The country star was more than three times the legal limit while behind the wheel, according to the toxicology report.

Her vehicle had been driving at 102MPH when her car first hit the second car, the Taos County Sheriff said.

Kylie had a catalogue of injuries which showed up in the autopsy including a broken skull, a number of fractures, a broken breastbone as well as pelvis and her ribs.

The hitmaker was on her way to play the Big Barn Music Festival in Taos when the car crashed.

At the time of her death, Kylie's agent confirmed the sad news to Billboard.

Her rep said: "We are heartbroken to confirm that Kylie Rae Harris passed away in a car accident last night.

"We have no further details to share, and ask for privacy for her family at this time. Everyone that knew Kylie knew how much she loved her family and, beyond that, how much she loved music.

"The best tribute to her unmatched enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you."

She was convicted of drink-driving in 2017, two years before a crash killed her.

At the time, it was enforced Kylie had a ignition interlock device installed into her vehicle.

The ignition interlock device is a breathalyzer for an individual's vehicle.

To operate the vehicle, the driver must blow into the device.
