Drunk man arrested on Ryanair flight after trying to open emergency exit door amid delays

A drunk man had to be escorted off a recent Ryanair flight after he became aggressive with passengers, and even tried to open the emergency exit door on the plane.

The man, who was reportedly from Belgium, had too much to drink and was fed up with the ongoing delays as the Irish airplane sat on the tarmac in Menorca Mahon Airport ahead of takeoff- as many countries deal with travel-related delays.

According to the Olive Press, other passengers on board began to complain after he started hitting the seats, and attempting to open the emergency exit door in order to get off.

After being unable to calm the man down, members of the flight crew resorted to calling the police to deal with the situation.

When officers arrived on the scene, the 46-year-old was allegedly asked to disembark the plane - which he refused to do.

He was then arrested for resisting authorities and was placed in a cell - therefore extending his delay.

The flight was later cancelled, but there was no indication of whether the incident was the reason for this, or if it was entirely unrelated.
