Police have launched an investigation after ‘drunk kids’ reportedly threw stones at a building, smashing windows.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident on Thursday morning (May 20).
People living in the block of flats in St Thomas Street in Redcliffe were woken at 6.20am, and saw a group of what they described as ‘drunk kids’ on the roof of a building opposite, throwing stones across the road.
Several windows in the flats opposite, and a car window in the street below were smashed in the incident.

The block of flats in Redcliffe is one of several in Bristol at the centre of the ongoing cladding scandal, with residents facing huge bills to replace cladding similar to the type that caused the Grenfell Tower inferno.
People living there have been told their building is a fire risk, but even though the cladding has been deemed unsafe - they could have to pay for it to be replaced.
One resident, who declined to be named, described what happened. “This morning at 6.20am, some drunk kids smashed my flat window by throwing stones at it from the rooftop of the opposite building,” she said.
“I managed to record them. I’m very upset. I’m worried that those kids will come back to smash more windows, or they will go further and decide to set our building on fire,” she added.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police confirmed they were investigating the incident.
“We’re investigating an incident in which damage was caused to windows at two properties in St Thomas Street, Bristol, at around 6.20am on Thursday 20 May,” he said.
“The windscreen of a car parked nearby was also damaged.
“We’re reviewing CCTV footage and any other available footage to try and identify those responsible for causing the damage.
