A drunk grandmother who attacked a shopkeeper with a Taser in a racist tirade has reportedly been spared jail.
Koren McCairn pleaded guilty to the attack on Azad Mukhuris at his convenience store in Herne Bay, Kent in May.
McCairn, 52, went into the Herne Bay Food Store and started arguing with him about an alleged relationship between him and one of her relatives, according to the Kent Messenger.
Canterbury Crown Court heard how she called Mr Mukhuris a “f***** foreign P***” and vowed to beat him outside the shop.
Mary Jacobson, prosecuting, said McCairn, from Ramsgate, had then punched him and pulled out a Taser.
Ms Jacobson said: “He heard a noise and it felt as though he had received an electric shock. As the customer fled the shop McCairn once again struck the victim, causing his body to shake and left him in a lot of pain.”

Mr Mukhuris managed to escape McCairn by throwing a bottle at her and took refuge at the back of the shop until the police arrived.
Kent Police found McCairn stumbling around outside the shop with a “glazed” expression and when they arrested she attempted to take a black object from her waistband which was later revealed to be a black plastic stun gun.
She told officers she had bought it online “for protection”.

McCairn was given a 12-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, and banned from entering the store for a year after admitting possessing an offensive weapon and carrying out a racially aggravated beating.
Presiding over the case, judge Adele Williams told her: “You could have no complaints if I sent you to prison immediately.
“You behaved in a thoroughly irresponsible fashion, aggravated by the fact you obtained this stun gun or taser via the internet and had it on this occasion.”
Judge Williams said McCairn’s racist language was “entirely unacceptable and is abhorrent to right-thinking members of society".
