A drunk driver has been caught by police after travelling all the way from Liverpool to Manchester while more than four times the drink-drive limit.
Several reports of erratic driving along the M62 motorway were made to police earlier today.
When officers arrived in the area, they pulled over a Ford Fiesta near junction 13 of the M60 in Worsley.
The driver was found to be more than seven times over the legal drink-drive limit, scoring a 169 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath on a breath test at the roadside. The limit in the UK is just 35.
The woman was taken into police custody at Swinton police station.
In a tweet, Greater Manchester Traffic Police said: "After several reports of erratic driving on the M62, ME11 found the Ford Fiesta M60 near J13.
"The driver had driven from Liverpool into Manchester.... at the roadside she provided a breath reading of 169!!
"In custody at Swinton, some time later, she blew 129."
