A man was arrested on suspicion of cycling while drunk after a woman was knocked down in a crash.
Merseyside Police rushed to Eaton Road at the junction of Alvanley Road in West Derby at 7.16pm on Tuesday, March 15, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a woman and a man on a bike were involved in a crash.
The North West Ambulance Service attended the scene as the woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The cyclist stopped at the scene.

A man was arrested by police on suspicion of being drunk while riding a bike. He was taken into custody for questioning by Merseyside Police.
Police have closed Eaton Road in both directions following the crash and put a cordon in place. A number of police cars and an ambulance remain at the scene.
Traffic monitoring service INRIX says: "Eaton Road in both directions blocked due to accident at Alvanley Road."
