Drunk Audi convertible driver tries to escape Leeds police with NO tyre

The driver of an Audi was caught by police in the early hours of Thursday morning travelling through Leeds with no front tyre at all in a brazen act of dangerous driving.

Not only did the driver deem it sensible to drive without a tyre on the front passenger rim, but they were also under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Their ill-advised trip in the Audi convertible was brought to an abrupt halt when they were pulled over by traffic cops in Leeds this morning though.

West Yorkshire Police 's specialist roads enforcement team were quick to post about the incident on Twitter, showing pictures of the bare wheel arch with huge bumps and scratches around it.

A tweet from the Roads Policing Unit account said: "Leeds - I wonder why we stopped this vehicle and prohibited it????

"Oh and the driver was drunk too."

The West Yorkshire police force often share stories of dangerous driving in a bid to deter others from following suit.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the fastest speed recorded by a driver in lockdown was a staggering 151mph on the M62 in West Yorkshire. The driver was clocked travelling at the outrageous speed by police officers on the motorway.
