A drunk who abused customers at a deli was jailed for a year today.
Kevin Kerr entered the David's Kitchen store in Dalderse Avenue, Falkirk, at 6.30am on April 2nd, 2021, and initially left after buying a juice and a roll, Falkirk Sheriff Court was told.
Kerr, 37, described as "being very loud", then returned about 20 minutes later, shouting at customers at the deli counter, "Dinnae f****** ignore me".
Prosecutor Xander Van Der Scheer said Kerr was being aggressive, and was also heard to shout, "F***, come on then, lets go" before following a customer out of the shop into the car park, and calling him "a s**** bag".
In an earlier incident, on the evening of March 14th 2021 in the Premier Express shop in Bainsford, Falkirk, Kerr entered drunk, demanded a bottle of wine, and was asked by the manager to leave.
He left, but returned 15 minutes later, shouting and swearing at customers.
Kerr, of Castings Avenue, Falkirk, admitted threatening and abusive behaviour.
Solicitor John Mulholland, defending, said Kerr had an alcohol problem.
Imposing the 12-month jail term, Sheriff Simon Collins QC said Kerr perpetrated "drunken incidents of public disorder, against a background of a significant criminal record".
Today's court appearance was Kerr's second this week at the Falkirk court.
On Tuesday, he admitted ranting nurses and security staff at the Forth Valley Royal Hospital while grabbing his own genitals.
Sentence on that matter had been deferred until August 5th for reports.
