DETROIT _ Maybe Andre Drummond has solved his free-throw woes.
Carrying a 70 percent free-throw shooting percentage into Friday night, the sixth-year center was 14 for 16 at the line, helping the Detroit Pistons to a 105-96 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at Little Caesars Arena.
Drummond scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, as the Pistons (6-3) opened the five-game homestand with a comfortable victory in front of the largest home crowd since the home opener last month.
Avery Bradley scored 23 points and the Pistons' bench scored 28 points, outscoring the Bucks bench by 14.
The Pistons' largest lead was 18 points.
Coming into the season, Drummond was one of the worst free-throw shooters in NBA history.
But he revamped his shooting motion in the offseason and after Friday night, he is now shooting 78 percent from the line.
Giannis Antetokounmpo came into the game averaging 31.3 points per game for the Bucks (4-5), and scored 29 points on 13-for-27 shooting Friday.
The main defender was Pistons third-year small forward Stanley Johnson, who also helped force three turnovers against the Greek Freak.
With Jon Leuer out with a sprained left ankle, seldom-used center Eric Moreland sparked the Pistons in the first half.
He entered the game early when Drummond picked up his second foul and immediately ignited the sluggish Pistons with his energy.
He scored six points, grabbed five rebounds and added a blocked shot in 14 minutes where he was a plus-15. He finished with six points, nine rebounds and one blocked shot in 20 minutes. He was plus-17 for the game.
After Tuesday night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN.com's Zach Lowe wrote on Twitter the Pistons were on pace for the lowest made free-throw rate per game in NBA history.
The Pistons went to the line 28 times Friday, making 23.
