Drumcondra locals furious after callous hooligans vandalise park by setting traffic cones on fire

Residents have been left furious after uncaring vandals defaced a park in Drumcondra.

A number of traffic cones were set alight which resulted in a large patch of grass in Griffith Park being destroyed.

You can see the extent of the damage caused in a picture sent to Dublin Live by a local.

He said this wasn't the first time the park has been vandalised.

He told Dublin Live: "It’s a great park but it happens from time to time.

"Someone burned out a motorbike up there a few years back and the worst one was when someone burned one of the really old trees they had.

"The bike and the cones, etc. you can get over but burning the tree for no reason is a head-scratcher."
