Drumchapel police incident: Teenage boy hospitalised after attack

A teenage boy was hospitalised after being attacked in Drumchapel.

Police were called to the scene of an assault on Peel Glen Road shortly after 7pm on Saturday evening.

The 17-year-old was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be checked over.

Police have launched an investigation into the assault and say enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “Officers attended at Peel Glen Road in Glasgow at 7.20pm after a 17-year-old boy was assaulted.

"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be checked over.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
