Disturbance in Tallant Road in Drumchapel sparks armed police response

A disturbance at a Drumchapel home has sparked a major armed police response.

Police, fire crews and paramedics raced to the scene on Tallant Road on Monday afternoon and a 30-year-old man was arrested.

Images taken by a local eyewitness show dozens of residents waiting in the taped-off street, with video footage shared on social media showing armed officers in the area.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed a man was arrested following the incident, with no reported injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.30pm on Monday, 27 September, officers attended a property on Tallant Road in Glasgow following the report of a disturbance.

“A 30-year-old man has been arrested, no one was injured during the incident.”
