A suspected drug dealer has been arrested after drugs were hurled out of a car window during a police chase.
Police had attempted to stop a a silver Renault Clio in St Anne's Close Birkenhead but it sped away in the direction of Wallasey during the dramatic scenes on Monday.
Officers drove after the car which eventually came to a stop more than three miles away in Elleray Park Road, New Brighton.

The driver made a bungled attempt to escape on foot across a park but was caught by police.
Drugs were also seized from the scene after a member of the public told police they saw them being thrown from the Clio.
A picture of the Class B drugs, suspected cannabis and the stopped car was released by police.
Police said a a 23-year-old man from Liscard had been arrested on driving offences and suspicion with intent to supply class B drugs.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We have arrested a 23-year-old man from Liscard and recovered suspected class B drugs following an incident yesterday, Monday 22 March.
" At around 5.35pm patrols on St Anne’s Close attempted to stop a silver Renault Clio but it made off in the direction of Wallasey.
"Officers pursued the vehicle which came to a stop on Elleray Park Road, a man exited the vehicle and made off across the park.
" Following a short foot pursuit, officers detained the 23-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of dangerous driving and failure to stop."

Confirming the eagle-eyed member of the public's intervention, the spokesperson added: "Following information given by a member of the public, police recovered a quantity of suspected class B drugs that the man was reported to have discarded during the pursuit. He was further arrested on suspicion with intent to supply class B drugs."
The man has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Inspector Jordan Quinn said: “This was a great arrest and shows how proactive policing and visible patrols not only give the public reassurance, they allow officers to observe any suspicious activity and act on it.
“Where we receive information about crime taking place on Wirral and across Merseyside we will take action. If you know someone involved in crime, please let us know so we can take them off our streets.”
