It is understood that staff members found the tablets - believed to be ecstasy - at Auchrannie Resort in Brodick on Thursday.

The shocking find was reported to Police Scotland who have confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.

Auchrannie is a plush four star resort which has a hotel, spa, holiday lodges and a motorhome stopover for guests.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.25 pm on Thursday, 24 February, 2022, police were called to a hotel on Arran following a report that a quantity of tablets had been recovered by staff.

“Enquiries are continuing."
