Drugs found on man who chatted to police and became 'more and more nervous'

Police officers found drugs on a man when he had chatted to them and become more and more nervous, a court heard.

Officers spoke with Ricky Norman in Birkin Avenue, Forest Fields, on October 3 just before 11am.

Amy Earnshaw, prosecuting, said the officers engaged with him in conversation.

"They noted he became more and more nervous," she explained.

Detectives found cannabis and wraps of crack cocaine and heroin.

He admitted in interview he had them for his personal use.

Norman appeared before Nottingham Crown Court for possessing all three drugs, which he pleaded guilty to, breaching a suspended prison sentence and two offences of shoplifting.

The 27-year-old, of Merchant Street, Bulwell, was given an extra ten drug rehabilitation requirement days.

He received a 12-month community order and a 12-month drug rehab requirement.
