Drugs, cash, mobile phones and suspected stolen vehicle parts seized in police raid

A 'large' quantity of drugs has been taken off the streets after police raided a house in Oldham.

Officers swooped at dawn on the property in the Hathershaw area of the town.

Mobile phones and a quantity of cash was also seized.

And police said the raid also netted suspected stolen vehicle parts, which three cars seized and towed away from the scene.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested.

He was held on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply, but hasn't been named.

On Twitter, GMP Oldham said: "Drugs warrant executed in the early hours of this morning in Hathershaw.

"Male aged 21 arrested for possession drugs with intent to supply.

"Large quantity of drugs recovered, phones and a quantity of cash.

"Three vehicles seized along with stolen vehicle parts."

The man is understood to remain on Friday afternoon in police custody for questioning.

No other arrests were made and police didn't specify the exact street value of the drugs seized.

Images posted on Twitter by Greater Manchester Police showed two cars, a red Vauxhall Astra and a what appeared to be a black Vectra, being towed away.

Vacuum-packed plastic bags filled with drugs were also shown.

No other information was revealed.
