Drugs and 'makeshift' weapons seized after cops raid Aberdeen property

Drugs and "makeshift" weapons have been seized from an Aberdeen home following a tip off from concerned neighbours.

The stash was found when police raided the city centre property after a search warrant was granted.

Cops revealed on Friday February 5 that a "small" quantity of drugs had been discovered along with the weapons.

They shared an image of the brutal instruments, some of which appear to have been modified.

Concerned members of the community tipped off police (Aberdeen City Police)

Among the finds was an axe-type blade bound with masking tape.

Another of the weapons appears to be a heavy metal object attached to a chord of some kind.

A third instrument found appears to be a blunt weapon consisting of a metal pole taped onto another wooden stick.

Aberdeen City Centre Police shared the snap on Twitter and said: "As a result of community concerns, officers from the #CityCentrePST executed a search warrant in the city centre and recovered a small quantity of drugs and weapons.

"Enquiries are ongoing.

"If you have info regarding drugs in your area, contact 101 or Crimestoppers online."
