Police arrested a man and seized drugs and cash during a raid at a home in Salford.

Officers from GMP's organised crime team, Operation Arctic, along with neighbourhood PCs visited a house in Walkden at 6.30am this morning (Wednesday, June 6).

A man found at the property was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including drugs and firearms possession.

Inspector Kate Allen, from GMP's Salford team, published a statement about the raid on Facebook.

"This morning officers from the North West Neighbourhood team and the Op Arctic team attended an address in Walkden to execute a warrant," she said.

"A quantity of drugs, cash and assets were seized and at 6:32am an adult male was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs, possession of class A and class B drugs with intent to supply, possession of a section 5 firearms and money laundering.

"He remains in police custody for questioning."

She went on to encourage residents to contact her team to report any concerns they may have.
