Drug suspects named by police after house raided

Two people have been charged on suspicion of drug offences after police launched an afternoon raid on a property in Widnes.

Officers from Cheshire Police executed a drug raid at a property on Milton Road in Widnes at around 3.30pm on Thursday, June 9. Two people - Dean Gorst and Leanne Beneke - were arrested at the address on suspicion of drug offences.

Gorst, 31, of Dignum Mead, Liverpool, has since been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin. Beneke, also 31, of Milton Road, Widnes has been charged with two counts of permit use of premises for supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

The pair both appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on Friday, June 10. Gorst was remanded into custody and Beneke was released on conditional bail. They are next due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, July 11.
