Drug gang caged for supplying cocaine and heroin in Forth Valley and Lanarkshire

A drugs gang have been jailed for over 13 years after their "organised criminal and drug supply activities" were dismantled by cops.

Guy Boyd, 28, Ryan Brookes, 24, Scott McLean, 23, and Graeme Shields, 31, were all today found guilty of supplying Class A drugs across the Forth Valley and Lanarkshire areas of Scotland.

It comes after officers recovered cocaine and heroin between 2019 and 2020, with an estimated street value of £300,000.

Police hailed the sentences of the men they say played a 'key role' in an organised crime group.

Detective Inspector Nick Brookfield, of Police Scotland's Organised Crime Unit, said: "Keeping our communities safe and making the country a hostile environment for organised criminality remains an absolute priority for Police Scotland and its officers.

"Boyd, Brookes, McLean and Shields formed principle roles in this organised crime group.

"They sourced, couriered and benefitted from this nefarious criminal activity and I welcome the sentences handed to them by the court which reflects their involvement accordingly."
