Drug-driver crashed... then carried on driving with 'no idea' front wheel had completely shredded

A drug-driver was 'so impaired' he had 'no idea' his front tyre had completely shredded after a crash and carried on driving.

The driver of the red car drove along the metal rim until he was stopped by police officers.

They arrested him for being 'unfit to drive through drugs' and blood samples were taken in custody (Greater Manchester Police)

Pictures shared by Greater Manchester Police on Twitter so the front of the Ford destroyed with wires and metal plates hanging out.

The normally round metal rim is pictured bent, crooked and scraped.

The police wrote: "The driver of this vehicle was so impaired that he had no idea his front tyre had shredded when he had a collision & continued to drive along on the rim! Vehicle stopped by #XT64, driver #arrested for being unfit to drive through drugs and blood samples taken in custody #fatal4"

Fatal four is the term that refers to the four main reasons why people are killed or seriously injured on our roads: speeding, using a phone, not wearing a seatbelt, drink/drug driving.
