A driver involved in a police chase through Westhoughton was found to be under the influence of drugs.
The driver of the Kia Stonic was initially spotted by team XT18 from Greater Manchester traffic police after they lost control while driving along Schofield Lane.
After being requested to stop by the officers, the driver made off and was pursued through to Westhoughton, eventually coming to a stop just off Wigan road.

Once detained, officers conducted a drug drive test on the driver, who subsequently failed.
Officers also discovered the driver only had a provisional driver's licence.
The driver was arrested and the car was seized.
