Drug dealer stashes heroin and cocaine in Thomas the Tank Engine cup

A drug dealer hid heroin, cannabis and cocaine in a Thomas the Tank Engine cup which police discovered at his home.

Jonathan Naylor's stash of drugs was found by officers after they carried out a warrant at the address on Crocus Street in Kirkdale on July 3.

The warrant led to large quantities of heroin, cannabis and cocaine being seized by police.

Photos show the drugs stashed inside the cup along with a wad of £5, £10 and £20 notes.

Naylor, 33, of Crocus Street, pleaded guilty to drug supply offences.

He was sentenced to three years and four months in prison on Friday, October 23.

Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Constable Nick Glascott-Tull said: “It is pleasing to see Naylor removed from the streets and I hope this deters others from drug supply, which causes significant harm within our communities.

"We have regular success in carrying out such warrants, in no small part to information from those who live in the area.
