Drug cops swoop on Scots home and seize £10,500 worth of cocaine in raid

Drug cops swooped on a house in Ayrshire and seized £10,500 worth of cocaine.

Officers executed a search warrant at the property on Caledonia Road in Ayr on Wednesday, April 28.

A quantity of Class A controlled drugs, believed to be cocaine, was recovered with a potential street value of approximately £10,500.

A 39-year-old man was charged with drug supply offences and police say he will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

He will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.

Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Area Commander at South Ayrshire said: “Drug dealing remains a high priority for police officers here in South Ayrshire and we have committed resources in recent months to addressing community concerns around this.

"This recovery is the result of police working together with the communities and acting on the information provided to us.

"We will continue to take action against those determined to bring misery to the streets of South Ayrshire who are involved in illicit drug dealing and supply. It will not be tolerated.”

"If you have any information on those that deal drugs within the community contact your Local Policing Team by calling 101 (always 999 in an emergency) or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where anonymity can be maintained."
