Drug and drink driver arrested TWICE for driving 100mph then ignoring police

A suspected drug and drink driver was arrested after being caught speeding at over 100mph - they were then arrested AGAIN for ignoring police and driving home from custody.

The reckless driver was spotted overtaking other cars at speeds of over 100mph in a 50mph zone in Cheshire on Monday morning (May 25).

Cheshire Police pulled the driver over and arrested them for driving with excess alcohol and drug driving.

Once under the legal drink drive limit, the driver was released from custody and told not to drive home.

But they were arrested for a second time after ignoring police orders.

The driver provided a second positive drugs swipe.

In a post on the North West Motorway Police Facebook page, police said: "Vehicle seen in excess of 100mph in a 50mph zone, overtaking members of the public.

"Stopped - Arrested for driving with excess alcohol & drug driving by #MS18 @CheshireRCU

"Released from custody once under the drink drive limit.

"Told NOT to drive home but did so anyhow & now arrested again as provided a second positive drugs wipe #HU78 @CheshireRCU."
