- Belfast International Airport has increased its drop-off fee for motorists to £5 for a 10-minute slot, effective from Monday, 9 March.
- This represents a 66 per cent increase from the previous charge of £3, with penalty charges of up to £60 for exceeding the 10-minute limit.
- The airport stated the new pricing reflects "significant cost pressures" and supports its ongoing £100m investment programme.
- Blue Badge holders are encouraged to use the Short Stay Car Park, which offers 30 minutes free, while the Long Stay Car Park provides 15 minutes free for drop-offs and collections.
- Other UK airports, such as London Gatwick, have also recently raised their drop-off charges, with Gatwick now charging £10.
