Drop-in covid vaccines available for Dundee teens this week

Drop-in covid vaccines are available for Tayside’s teens this week, NHS Scotland has announced.

From Monday 12-17-year-olds can attend a clinic for their second dose as long as it has been 12 weeks since their first jab.

Those who are in an at-risk group and aged between 12 and 15 can drop also in for their second dose as long as it has been 8 weeks since their first.

Some young people may still receive an appointment letter for their second dose as these had already been sent before the new directive had been issued.

Only one parent or carer should attend with their child to help keep numbers in the centres to a minimum.

Anyone who wants to bring their appointment forward or cancel if they are attending a drop-in clinic should call the national helpline on 0800 030 8013 .

For more information and full details of drop-ins visit the NHS Tayside website here.
