The last confirmed sighting of 45-year-old George was at around 8.45pm on Sunday, March 8, near to Dalreoch train station.

Police later issued a CCTV image of him there.

But no trace of him has been found, despite the searches.

Sergeant Brian Simpson of Dumbarton police told the Lennox Herald: “Extensive enquiries have been carried out and are still ongoing.”

Inspector John Forrest added: “George was last seen on CCTV near to the train station and we are keen to trace his movements prior to and after this.

“It is unusual for George not to be in contact with his family and we are appealing for anyone with information which may help to trace him to get in touch.”
