Drone footage shows vast extent of project to build 1,000-home neighbourhood in Bingham

Aerial drone footage shows the vast scale of a project to build more than 1,000 homes in Bingham.

As of November last year, 70 homes had been constructed at the Romans' Quarter site off Dunsmore Avenue.

A joint venture led by David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes, the first phase is expected to deliver 317 houses.

Jan Ruston, sales director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this online video for Romans’ Quarter, as it allows people to take a tour of the development without having to leave the house.

“Our Sales Centre has re-opened on an appointment-only basis with social distancing measures in place, and keen property seekers can use this video to get to know the development ahead of booking an appointment with our sales advisers.”

Offering two to five-bedroom properties, green open spaces and a play area, a school and community centre are in the pipeline.

One of the first families to have moved into the estate previously spoke about what it was like to live in one of the biggest new-build neighbourhoods in the county.
