Drone users are prohibited from flying their craft near the Grand Palace, the royal cremation site at Sanam Luang and surrounding areas within a 19km radius, to ensure security during the ceremony from Oct 25-29

Violators are liable to a maximum sentence of one year in jail and/or a fine of 40,000 baht.

Drones granted specific permission to be flown during the ceremony to capture aerial views are exempted.
