The Drogs are currently second in the table and only two points behind leaders Cabinteely, who they face on Monday.
Tim Clancy's side will be hoping for promotion back to the Premier Division after losing to Finn Harps in last year's promotion/relegation play-off in extra-time.
Drogheda are undefeated since the resumption of football and will fancy their chances of getting another three points at home here.
Meanwhile, Cobh are six points behind Drogheda in sixth position in the table and have won their last two games: 2-0 against Longford and 4-0 vs Wexford Youths.
They put in a decent performance against Dundalk in the FAI Cup last weekend, but lost 2-0.
