Driving expert explains 'unclear' road sign that many people 'don't know meaning of'

There is one particular road sign that seems to confuse many drivers.

A theory test expert has put motorists' minds at ease as she explained a common sign, which people have admitted to never fully understanding. Many car parks are home to a "no return within one hour" notice but drivers have admitted to being a bit confused by the meaning of the road sign.

Annie - who boasts more than 776,000 followers on account @t heorytestpractice - set the record straight about the lesser-known marking on popular video-streaming service TikTok, reported The Mirror.

Annie has successfully raked in a large following thanks to her videos that share vital information on how to pass theory tests. In a recent and popular video, the expert's clip has surpassed a whopping 644,000 views since posting as she puts the rule to bed.

She said: "I've been asked to explain signs like this one. She said: "This sign is saying that between Monday and Saturday, you can park between 8 o'clock in the morning and 6 o'clock at night, but only for one hour.

"No return within one hour - that simply means that you're not allowed to drive out of your parking space, drive around the block, and go straight back into that parking space. Well, not for an hour anyway."

In the post's caption, she clarified the rule, and said: "At other times you can park for as long as you want to." Taking to the comments, several budding TikTokers praised Annie for sharing the insightful information as some users even admitted to never knowing the rule.

One user said: "I never got the no return within one hour! Thanks for that!" A second joked: "I always thought no return within 1 hour meant, your not allowed to come back to the car for at least an hour lol."

Another misunderstood user said: "I always thought it meant you couldn't leave for one hour after parking." Another admitted: "I've always wondered with these."
