Drivers will need to pay to park again as free period ends

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Free After 3, a free parking promotion across the boroughs car parks is due to expire on September 30.

The scheme had been introduced back in April to help retail, hospitality and local businesses throughout the Borough recover from the effects of the pandemic.

The Council is returning to pre-Covid parking operations at its sites due to the restrictions lifted which means many businesses on the high streets in West Bridgford, Bingham and Keyworth are open and trading full time.

The charges will be reinvested back into car park facilities such as lighting, resurfacing, ticket machines, the RingGo service and electric vehicle charging points.
