Drivers warned to expect delays after crash at busy city centre junction

Drivers are being told to expect delays after a crash at a busy city centre junction.

Bothwell Street is currently blocked at its junction with Douglas Street following the incident around 2.20pm.

Drivers are advised to use a different route if possible and passengers travelling on buses via the route have been warned to expect delays.

One member of the public criticised the decision to allow the roads in the area to be partially blocked for construction.

Twitter user Dan Danikov said: "Yet another collision at the junction between Douglas St and Bothwell St, Glasgow City Council should just close Douglas St or something, it isn't safe. HFD's construction site at 177 Bothwell Street is definitely part of the issue, it's a blind corner at the top of the hill right now."

Update: The damaged vehicles have been moved and the road is open.
