Essential maintenance works will take place overnight on the northbound M9 at Hopetoun Fishery on Wednesday 5th June 2019. The scheme will be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 6am.
The works will benefit over 8,500 vehicles, using this section of the M9 each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
To allow this scheme to take place there will be a full closure of the M9 northbound carriageway between Junction 1a and Junction 2 with a signed diversion route in operation.
Northbound traffic will be instructed to exit via the slip road for the M90 and traffic will continue on the M90 in a northerly direction towards Junction 1a for Queensferry. From here, traffic will be diverted onto the westbound A904 towards M9 Junction 2, Philipstoun and will turn left onto the B8046. Traffic will be directed to take the first right turn to re-join the M9 northbound where diversion ends.
