Drivers are being warned that roadworks on a busy stretch of road in West Lothian are set to continue for longer than originally intended.
The A801 roundabout at J4 M8 road closure is being extended for a further two weeks taking the closure notice up to Sunday, March 22.
West Lothian Council say this is a precautionary step.
This is due to the weather conditions experienced with two major storms in recent weeks, and also taking into account what is being forecast for the coming weeks.
The contractor is working to minimise the impact on their programme and it is hoped that the works can still be completed within the original timescale.
The local authority thanked local residents in the surrounding area for their patience while the significant and essential road reconstruction is completed in the area.
